Functional Needs

Click on any of the functional needs listed below or on the left to be directed to programs that provide supports related to that need. For example, if you are looking for programs that provide supports for people who are blind, click on "Seeing".

General
These programs provide support to people with a wide variety of disabilities. (e.g. income assistance for persons with disabilities).

Communicating
These programs provide aids to support individuals' ability to communicate with others (e.g. augmentative communication).

Hearing
These programs help people who need support for hearing (e.g. hearing aids, sign language translation).

Learning and Understanding
These programs provide aids for learning or understanding for persons with a functional need for this support.

Mental Health
These programs provide supports to promote mental health.

Mobility
These programs provide aids that enable a person with a mobility impairment to move more independently.  This may include such things as orthotics or braces (e.g. for the wrist, neck, back, foot or knee), walkers and wheelchairs.

Seeing
These programs provide support or equipment to help people with tasks that involve seeing (seeing a computer monitor, moving around outside, etc.)

Other
These programs provide support for individuals with functional needs that are not listed above.
